Chaff N' Skaffs: Mai and the Lost Moskivvy

By Amanda Chin and Luke Feldman

Book Overview

A brave heroine named Mai befriends a small stranger and helps him return home. Children everywhere can identify with her and enjoy this incredible journey.

Mai is a 12 year-old girl who loves reading and nature. When a lost mosquito interrupts her sleep, her friend Chaff suggests they escort Moskivvy home. So begins a courageous girl's voyage into a fantastic and colorful world. Guided by Chaff, Mai's adventure through a lush landscape will kindle readers' imaginations.

Adults and kids will be entranced by the many unique creatures these three adventurers encounter. Readers will share their courage and strength to travel through teeming jungles, blinding blizzards, and imposing mountains to reunite the little Moskivvy with his family.

Luke Feldman's distinctive illustrations combine vibrant colors and whimsical imagery. "Feldman's artwork blends the classic stylings of 1950s Disney with a modern design sensibility to create something both cutting edge and timeless," said Andrew Farago from San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum. Comic book fans will discover a captivating world of visual delight.

"The story of a pretty girl, an unidentifiable faithful friend and a dapper lost mosquito is easy to follow, but the colourful, detailed illustrations are what makes this book a page-turner."
