In this sequel to A Breed of Trouble, Chad and his best friend Ray Ray are at it again. This time they find hamsters in the woods. Chad, who loves just about every animal you can think of, is determined to add the hamsters to his growing collection of critters he has hidden in his bedroom. For a while, Chad is able to hide the hamsters and enjoys playing with them. One day though, while playing with the hamsters, the boys are responsible for damaging the basement. After that they discover that the hamsters are missing. Now the boys have to find the hamsters before Chad's mother and sister find out that they are missing in the basement.
