This book really has little to do with Catholicism. What is does cover is compassion and love....in other words, humanity. Fr. Joe Devlin was a saint in the true sense of the word. Don't believe me? Read this book. If you ever wondered what the Vietnamese were thinking and feeling while the Vietcong took over their villages and killed their families, read this book.
