Equality is based on a fundamental premise that has a universal application; this premise is implicitly found in many cultures and belief systems around the world.

Western equality, as the path to enlightenment, is no different; but the universality of equality in the West has been undermined by the materialistic approach of both science and capitalism.

Is social equality as social justice still possible today? It may be possible if a new mind-set is adopted based on the fundamental premise of a shared world view.
