The volume Center and Periphery. Studies of Communication and International Relations aims at demonstrating, explicitly or implicitly, that the center and the periphery are interchangeable, depending on the assumed reference system. The socio-political dynamics, globalization and cultural dialogue favor the synchronic and diachronic center-periphery movement, the periphery-center in the knowledge and understanding process of the Other, who is also similar and different from "I." The whole approach is desire of completing and nuancing the Humanity itself, beyond the political boundaries, cultural practices and groups' interests. However, this volume aims at accessing the Center of international life and it is an honor to share with others the experience and opinions of the Danubian academics.
