As it is not for the weak,
If you are not ready to face your trials,
You might not be ready to see the truth of things,
that might be burdening you and me.

I talk about everything from sexual abuse,
to addiction.
I delve into topics such as substance abuse and
all sorts of inflictions.

But I pray these poems help you not feel so alone,
I pray as you read, you are able to grow.

Having been through many trials and tribulations,
myself,
I'm hoping that you can understand and feel these
thoughts inside of my head,
I hope that by reading them, you can start to realize
that you would not be better off dead.

So, here's a cheers to you and me,
We've both dealt with such tragedy,
But we are not going to just let it be,
Or let it become the basis of you and me.

For healing is within us all.
