Celtic Guide is an independent magazine run entirely by volunteers. We feature articles on the history and culture of Celtic lands as well as neighboring cultures.This issue features an interview with Celtic folk/rock band The Mudmen, and article on Celtic ceremonial fires in Celtic Portugal (Galicia) by Hugo da N?brega Dias. Our recurring column, Henceforth Tales, which features a new Clan surname and tartan each month, features the name Fraser in this issue. Best selling historical romance author Victoria Roberts returns with an article on Celtic Wakes. Another article by our editor expands on Celtic funerals. Regular contributor Ronald Henderson explores Pictish Kings, and Sharron explores the inauguration of Gaelic Kings. Celtic Guide editor, Jim McQuiston, writes on burials on the island of Iona. This issue features our first article with photos by Irish photographer, Shane Broderick, writing on the coronation of Brian Boru. And last but not least, we have two pieces by Welshman Martin Vaughan Watkin, one on the old Welsh festival of Eisteddfod, and one on handfasting ceremonies.
