Human body always tries to maintain the normal functional and balance status i.e. homeostasis condition through various biochemical and physiological pathways which are carried out at molecular level. These changes though not recognized by naked eye, can be reflected at tissue or cellular level when examined microscopically. Such cellular adaptations and subsequent derangement give a clue about the degree and stage of the disturbances occurred at molecular level. Cell injury in the form of inflammation and sometimes subsequent degeneration, shows many microscopic changes that can be examined earlier before any macroscopic change can be seen. These cellular changes and their microenvironment give an idea about pathogenesis of that particular condition.This will help pathologist to diagnose a defect in the tissue structure and ultimately will help clinician to treat the cause before the condition gets worsen. Because, ultimately all organ injury and ultimately all clinical disease arise from derangement.
