The Celebration City Bible hath been set forth with a four-colour schema, that the reader's eye may discern at once the voices and forces at work in every passage:
◆ Purple - The words of the Lord Jesus Christ (Yashua haMashiach), King of kings, clothed in the royal colour of sovereignty. Wheresoever His voice soundeth upon the page, it soundeth in purple.
◆ Red - The words of the curse: death, devil, Satan, sickness, disease, sorrow, poverty, affliction, suffering, curse, hell - and kindred terms. Also cry, cried, crying when used in the sense of lamentation, accusation, fear, or demonic outcry. These are marked in red that the reader may see plainly what the Gospel hath come to overcome.
◆ Black - The ordinary narrative voice of the sacred writers. The flow of the history, the instruction, and the doctrine.
◆ Italic - Words supplied by the translators of the 1611 Authorized Version to complete the sense in English. The KJV tradition honoureth the reader's eye by marking what was added; we have retained this honesty.
Where the name Jesus or Jesus Christappeareth in the English, we have added parenthetically the Hebraic Name - Yashua haMashiach - that the reader may be continually reminded of the covenantal Name borne by our Lord in the tongue of His fathers. Yashua signifieth Yahweh is salvation; haMashiach signifieth the Anointed One. In Greek: Ἰησοῦς Χριστός. In English: Jesus Christ. They are one Name in three tongues.
