A great book for reading aloud to young people

Celebrate The Fire Within is an enthusiastic children's picturebook written by Kathy Larsen for the express purpose of introducing young readers to the joy of sports and competition in general, and an appreciation of the Olympic Games in particular. Written in simple rhyme, brought to life with enjoyable color illustrations by C. B. Decker highlighting human activity and grace, Celebrate The Fire Within is a great book for reading aloud to young people and a very worthwhile addition to both school and community library collections.

Celebrate the Fire Within

Wonderful book for anyone, but especially children. Encourages trying new or difficult things. The illustrations are especially good! The children portrayed show exactly the emotions that the child would feel were he trying the same activities...some show their fear, some determination, others sheer delight. I want all my grandchildren to have this one!
