This book is fantastic! We have a paperback copy but it has been read over and over and has been taped & retaped so we need a hardback book to keep going! My two children ages 2 and just 6 have read this book for the past year or so and both love it! My older one loves to hear about the different states and name them by their shape. My 2 year old loves to find the state birds and other wildlife on the pages! I strongly recommend this book especially in hardback!!

This book has some pretty interesting geography facts. I liked the fact that Amelia Earhart was born in Kansas. A browser's delight of United States geography facts in a captivating picture book format. It has excellent color illustrations, and would recommend this one to the 2nd grade through the 4th grade levels, as well as the teachers.
