This book presents a rare collection of early color photographs documenting the Caucasus in the years immediately preceding the First World War. The volume features unique color images of Dagestan, Georgia, and the Black Sea coast, including historic views of Tiflis (Tbilisi), Batumi, Borjomi, and surrounding towns and rural settlements.

Mountain ranges, river valleys, and coastal landscapes appear alongside urban streets, markets, residential quarters, and transportation routes. The photographs capture both the natural environment of the region and the built spaces in which everyday life unfolded.
