The word Liturgy comes from the Greek leitourgia, meaning "work of the people." In the Christian tradition, it expresses the participation of God's people in the opus Dei-the work of God-through which Christ, our High Priest, continues His saving mission within the Church.
Inspired by the Liturgy of the Hours, the Catholic Scout Liturgy (C.S.L.) offers a simple and accessible path for Catholic Scouts to encounter Christ daily through Sacred Scripture and the prayers of the saints. Rooted in the Church's spiritual tradition, it fosters faith, unity, and communion among Scouts around the world.
By embracing this liturgy, Scouts not only take part in God's saving work but also grow in holiness, living the promise of Christ: "Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst" (Mt 18:20).
