A Formation Book For Third Order (Secular) Franciscans

This book is a good formation book for novitiates to the Secular Franciscans. The spirit of the book reflects the spirit of the Order, to give flesh to the Gospel.Father Bach's interest here is to teach the novice, during his or her formation, to go from Gospel to life and life to the Gospel.Be warned, however, that the book is in a very crude publishing format. You will find typos in it, and the type looks like it was done on a typewriter and copies made to publish the book.Nonetheless, I think it achieved its goal in me by making me want to consider a vocation to the Secular Franciscans. The comment is buttressed by selections from the Bible as well as selections from the writings of both Sts. Francis & Clare.If you are considering entering into a new kind of holiness, a committment to not only believe the Gospel but live it in the Franciscan manner, purchase this book. You will under Franciscan spirituality a bit better after reading the book.
