Great Book About University Life, Intrigue and Power

As a first time author, Whiddon has done a great job bringing the undercurrents of a shady side of university life into a good read. Power and lust drive this gripping story of the drive for tenure, research grants and power at a university. The plot unfolds easily, but the ending is unexpected and surprising.

Suprising!

Whiddon, a first time author, suprises with intriguing characters, good flow, wonderful view of academic life. The book deserves a wide audience and the author has the stuff to do another.My wife didn't appreciate the protagonist - at first, but she came around as the plot evolved. Good job.
