In this context, there are certain technologies that facilitate the location of points on the earth's surface, a task performed by GPS (Global Positioning System) equipment, as well as the creation of three-dimensional or 3D models that add the height of points to the previous two-dimensional or 2D information determined by the coordinates of a point. On the other hand, we must consider the definition of uses and occupations of the soil, subsoil, atmospheric and water environment provided by satellite images and, finally, the integration of all the above, through geographic information systems or GIS.
