The illustrations in this book are vibrant and include all of the major components of the automobile system. There are striking photographs of vintage automobiles including both on Overhead View and a Rear View of the 1886 Benz Motowagen, Frontal and Side Views of a 1906 Renault, 1911 Sixteen Horsepower Humber Engine, and 1927 Trojan Two-Stroke Engine, just to name a few!!! Excellent for illustrating how major components relate.

I have found this book extremely useful in showing 15 and 16 year olds, both boys and girls, who are preparing to drive, how major components of a car relate to each other and how they work.I feel it extremely important that kids know what is supposed to happen when they push on the brake, clutch, gas pedal or turn the steering wheel, what to watch for, listen to and smell when they drive a car.This book gives an excellent, interesting, easy to understand view of how components of a car work and how they relate to one another, providing a perfect basis for discussion, questions and answers.I am looking for two copies now for a nephew and a niece and I am very dissappointed to find it is out of print.
