Her therapists insist that music worsens her neurological development. Despite her strangeness, she makes friends. Boons are followed by challenges. Aurelia is adopted and faces identity issues. She begins a diary, writing to an imaginary friend named Amy who encourages her to reflect, to know herself, and alleviate her sadness.
