Cariad Diamod: A Metaphysical Journey

I invite you to accompany me to a strange world, one of such utopian resources as to render the mere possibility of its existence improbable. Aided however by a generous sprinkling of imagination and a familiar - albeit hopelessly inadequate - vocabulary, I am hoping to lead you to such a place, a place where dreams ordinarily unattainable and where the very noblest aspirations achieve realisation. The world I am referring to is driven by unconditional love and all that this implies, a standard beyond which no greater good is possible. Not the kind of love with which we are generally accustomed, but something so rare as to be priceless: a personal, infinite, incomparably selfless energy. As the narrative unfolds you will probably assume this tale to be the product of pure fantasy or, at best, a laboured exercise in wishful thinking. To be sure, it has to a greater or lesser extent elements of both these things but much more than this, the world of Cariad Diamod is also, I suggest, structured on an axiology buried in the bedrock of love's lofty purposes and to this extent postulates the grand design and ultimate destiny of everything that has ever lived or is likely to live.
