This was one of her first books. It was written in 1964. Like most movies at the time, everyone smoked. It was different to read a book where that was mentioned so frequently. Ann's cat played into the story, and Glenna Finley often mentions animals in her writing. They usually add comic relief, as her cat did in this story. Stuart was a little slow on the uptake, but the chemistry eventually showed up. Intrigue is woven through the story. Definitely dated. It was interesting to see how her writing changed. It was a good ten years before she wrote another book. I enjoyed the story.
