The course of study, Plant Biology (or Botany) is one of the science-based courses offered at the University level (both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels). It is a course with many job opportunities, but the students as well as their parents lack adequate knowledge about the prospects therein. Thus, the book; Career Prospects in Plant Biology was published to address this gap.The first edition was published in October 2015. Due to the positive response received, we decided to embark on the second edition which is more robust than the first edition.In this edition, additional resourceful information is provided such as an increase in the number of career opportunities available to the Plant Biologists and the prospective Plant Biologists. This provided solutions to the problem of where the Plant Biology students can offer their IT; agricultural-related areas of interest to the Plant Biologists are provided; information on plant-based research institutes, botanical journals and botanical databases which include iOS mobile apps that are useful to the teachers, students and parents of botanical interest are included.
