Car Trouble

By: Campbell, Melodie

Who would steal a beat-up car nearly 40 years old? And why is everybody so alarmed about it? Rookie police officer Ben Black doesn't get the fuss. It's not a valuable car. But his partner and mentor Officer "Mom" Gallo is clearly worried. She knows there's more to the story.

"Some things are best learned by experience," she says to him. This is Steeltown, after all.

After pounding the pavement, they finally find the stolen car...only to have it stolen again And this time, even Ben is anxious. Thing is, big cars have big trunks.

Big enough to hold a body or two...

Welcome to Steeltown, Canada, where the steel mills never stop running and everybody knows everybody. Bad guys don't stand a chance with Officer Rita "Mom" Gallo on the streets. Who needs a gun when you've got a wooden spoon?
