Lily Townsend's life consisted of photographing the beauty of nature, weekly visits from her shrink, and monthly visits from a retired detective. Her closet held a box of letters that a monster wrote to a dead girl. After ten years of a safe routine that was getting her nowhere, Lily decides to go on an extended trip to Wyoming, the only place she'd felt anything close to calm in years.
