Ruth finds a necklace that is important to him and mistakenly believes he thinks she's stolen it. She goes on the run. In return, Will discovers a close connection to Ruth and tries to find her in order to fulfil a deathbed promise. Meanwhile, trouble hits the neighbouring Kingdom of Nordmark. Will and his friends set out in aid of their friends and allies, unaware that Ruth has hidden herself close at hand amongst his archers. Growing and changing in her emotions, Ruth finds that she can't bare to be too far from Will... A story suitable for readers 12-16 years of age.
