Amazingly Fantastic!

I happened to find a copy of this remarkable Captain Nemo book on a shelf in the law office of my friend in New York City.The only way to describe Captain Nemo is to read you some of the exceptional story: Steam and condensation drifted in a thick mist about the air, with an ominous ceiling a hundred feet overhead, allowing light into this sanctuary. Three baby whales ventured curious over to the divers and then shyly swam fast away. Captain Riley scooted himself backwards onto the shore by the others. he noticed that Captain Nemo had removed his helmet. "Balaenoptera musculus. Listen to them sing". The blue whales songs and calls reveberated up into the vaulting stone of this cathedral. "They're laughing at us".Nemo was always moving around. His eyes tightened-those eyes of a tiger.His eyes rabid and edgy to pounce.A dance of many nocturnal dancers began. Harmonic and flowing.Captain Nemo smiled, "Tomorrow is Tammuz." "So, your religion is Judaism?" "Captain Riley, I am all religions". Now, Captain Nemo confused himself and became furious. Captain Nemo raised his arms to the blistering sky. He stood screaming, "No one does this to me! Do you hear me Lord! Do you hear me Allah! I am the one! I am the one who rules the oceans! And the one who rules the oceans, RULES THE WORLD!"I must return to read this novel again. I also have ordered a few copies of the Captain Nemo audiobooks. I've read some reviews and understand the book on tape is equally as intriguing. This writer, Xavier Carbajal, has brought new life to the Jules Verne captain. Only this time, deeper, darker and more otherworldly.

Captain Nemo is a great audiobook!

I like science fiction (Stars Wars, The Mummy, X Men, Digimon and X-Files stuff)and I picked Captain Nemo for a book report. My teacher said this Jules Verne captain and his story started back with 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mysterious Island. My friends and I think this Captian Nemo is cool! We especially like how smart he is. I think it is important for heros or people who have power like Captain Nemo to be intelligent and fair. My dad read Jules Verne books when he was going to high school and college. He thinks Captain Nemo is also very cool.

A Spectacular Captain Nemo adventure!

When a friend of mine from Dublin, Ireland told me about this Captain Nemo novel and audiobook I thought it was going to be some comicbook super hero gimmick. It wasn't. I was very impressed an moved by this brilliant continuation of the Jules Verne classic. Here is the tale of a scientist who has the ability to save the world from itself and he chooses not to. Decades into the 21st Century, the oceans have fallen into anarchy and black market pirates. Even the United Nations has collapsed and rogue terrorism has spawned into the oceans. Uriah, Kronos and Elon. Three wonderful villains worthy to be almost Shakespearian in dimension. And, Captain Nemo and his delightful crew, Ari, Jackie and Captain Donald "Don Quixote" Riley. All the wonderful players in this classic tale of a man's redemption and his choice to rise from the oceans to fight and evil as well as his inner demons. I truly believe Mr. Xavier Joseph Carbajal is on his way to becoming one of the newsest, most exciting writers of our time. His Captain Nemo novel is a wonderful story written with poetic colors of underwater landscapes, sea creatures with remarkable qualities and a talent for making Captain Nemo seem like he is out there in the oceans right now. I hope to see more from this author. David.

Captain nemo is remarkable!

Jules Verne would be proud of this magical sequel to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mysterious Island. I loved the way the author, Xavier Carbajal, went deeper into the mind and soul of the legendary genius who commands the seas. As I listened more and more, I was drawn further into the oceans and felt like I was one of Captain Nemo's crew. I also loved the music and the sound effects. Encore! Encore!

Captain Nemo is a mythilogical masterpiece!

Captain Nemo is one of the most exciting science fiction novels I have ever read. I had to do a school report on 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and Mysterious Island. In those novels I felt Jules Verne could have gone deeper into the mind of the recluse, genius, scientist. Then, I found the Captain Nemo novel by Xavier Joseph Carbajal and I thought 'WOW'! This guy is Jules Verne reincarnated. The whole idea of Jules Vernes's character finally achieving immortality and peace, now being challenged by the very things that kept him alive so long, was a remarkable work of genius. Captain Nemo, with its super 21st Century submarines and telepathic sea creatures, is played out with exceptional style. I've noticed from other reviews about this Captain Nemo novel and audiobook, people from around the country and the world are fascinated by this innovative science fiction adventure. My book club and friends at school do hope this author takes us further with more of his Captain Nemo. Like Captain Nemo said to Captain 'Don Quixote' Riley -"The adventure has just begun!"
