Captain James Cook dicovered New Zealand and Australia and many other countries/islands in the 1700s for the Western world. I find this to be a well written book. You learn about Captain Cook's humble background, his three travels to the other side of the world, his friends and about the Captain's personality. It's not a very long book, so maybe if you want to read a more detailed story, you should look for another book. But, for the rest of us: This is a well written book, so you don't get bored while you are reading it.
