The recipes in this cookbook are simple to make and don't need much effort beyond boiling some ingredients together and storing in the refrigerator or freezer. If you have a canner at home, then you can seal the preserves in a canning jar and store them for longer periods of time. This allows you to enjoy your creations all year long. Another great thing about these recipes is that they are for small amounts of preserves, and not large batches used for most canning. This way you can enjoy your chutney with your meal, store the rest, but not worry about having a lot of space taken up in the freezer. If you do want to make larger batches, then you can increase multiply the ingredients by how many servings you prefer and use a canner to preserve. I will often do this around the holidays because I give jars of preserves out as gifts to friends and family.
