The five thousand years long magnificent history of China has made the Chinese an intelligent people that created many great world-renowned projects. The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is an ancient canal with the longest course and largest construction scale in the world. It is also the world's oldest canal.
