In this dynamic counting book you can learn to count in ten different languages: Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Tagalog, Russian, Hindi, Hebrew, and even Zulu! Amaze your teachers, impress your friends, and prepare yourself for world travel with this incredible counting book that's unlike any other. Lezlie Evans's jaunty rhyme and Denis Roche's vibrant illustrations are sure to intrigue young language learners.
As a preschool teacher, I use this book constantly in my classroom to teach the children to teach the children to count in their native languages. As a result, the children share each others' cultures as well as master a few words in a foreign language. This book contains the numeric symbol, the written word, and the pronunciation, which is very helpful and simple. Each month, the children in my class learn to count in a different language, and this book contains most of the languages that my children speak, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, French, and Spanish. I love this book so much that I'm buying a new copy because the book has been misplaced.
A wonderful book!

Although it says for ages 4-8 my 2 year old adores this book and has (after only one week) completely memorized the Japanese, French, and Russian sections. In my opinion, toddlers as well as older children would benefit from this book.
Wonderful and Educational!

My children love this book! They are excited about learning the different languages and ask for things using the numbers they have learned. Evans has done a great job with the difficult pronunciations and Roche's illustrations are fun.
