This is a at a glance, fast read, easy to absorb techno etiquette handbook. Good Manners Have Never Been So Hip

This is one sassy book full of humorous, pop-culture references all pointing the way to better usage of the technology around us. I especially liked Ms. Glassman's section on e-mail (use of emoticons & commonly used abbreviations) and her recommendations for dealing with telephone solicitors. She manages to convey truly helpful information with tongue-in-cheek vitality that kept me reading as if it were a novel. This manual makes a good companion piece for any "newbie" buying a computer (or cell phone or pager or "things that go beep in the night") for the first time.
