Campfire Stories for the Brave

Five teenagers go camping in the woods, hoping to have some fun and adventure. They set up their tents near a clearing, where they light a campfire and roast marshmallows. They decide to tell each other scary stories, to spice up the night. One of them, who is a fan of horror novels, says that he has a real story to tell, that he found in an old book at a garage sale. He says that the book belonged to a famous occultist, who claimed to have contact with the dead. He opens the book and reads a passage that describes a ritual to summon the spirit of a skeleton, who can reveal the secrets of the future. He says that the ritual requires five people, a fire, and a bone. He then produces a bone that he says he found in the woods, and says that they should try the ritual, just for fun. The others are skeptical and nervous, but they agree to go along with it, thinking that it is just a harmless prank.
