Kerry never thought she would be starting over single and in a new state, but the only guarantee in life is that there are no guarantees. When her marriage ended before it had a chance to begin, she realized it was time for a change. So, she took a travel nursing job to get out of her comfort zone and try something new.
After exchanging words with a cocky young doctor at her newest placement, she expects him to be nothing more than an enemy. Chance puts them in the same room together and sparks fly when it turns out he's nothing like she imagined. Unfortunately, she's due to leave the state soon for her next assignment.

Seth works long hours as a staff physician at the local hospital. His schedule never allows for much free time, so when a friend invites him out for drinks, he accepts. The last person he expects to see is the nurse who told him off for being careless. The nurse he hasn't stopped thinking about ever since.
After spending time getting to know her over drinks, he isn't quite ready to let the night end. He isn't one to sleep around, but there's no ignoring his attraction to Kerry. In the daylight, Kerry thinks it best if they leave the night behind them, but will Seth be able to let her go that easily?
