Calling: How the Bible Draws the Line Between True and False Calling

By Philip Yeung

Book Overview

In a world obsessed with self-discovery, we often discern our calling through gifts, passion or 'open doors'. Is God really calling you? Throughout Scripture, God never intends His calling for our lives to be a mystery to solve or a list of things to do. The deeper we know God and dwell in His Word, the more naturally we discern His will. The secret is that there is no secret.

Therefore, this book will not teach you how to look for 'signs', discover your gifts or hear a 'voice'. Nor will it tell you which career or ministry to choose. Rather, this book will take you on a journey through 24 Bible stories - from both Old and New Testaments - and examine how God reveals His calling clearly and practically.

Drawing from four decades of experience in counselling and walking alongside seminary students in Hong Kong, Dr Philip Yeung uses Scripture brings Scripture to life with piercing clarity and relevance to address common misconceptions expressed by Christians about discerning God's calling.

Whether you're in the workplace, ministry, or in transition, this book will help you discover:
