Ambassador for the Lord

It was many years ago

When I first entered into a church.

I did not understand what was happening

But I knew that this was my first.

I saw people standing, shouting

And singing many songs.

They looked like they were singing because something had been wrong.

I heard them call and thank someone.

They all seemed to be on one accord.

Later on, I found out that

That someone was the Lord.

I heard them say something about

A wonderful friend is He.

They even mentioned something about

Christ dying on Calvary.

They sang a song about hearing something up above their heads

I heard someone shouting, "He lives He lives "

No, Jesus Christ is not dead.

But little did I know then that I would one day be on the same accord.

I thank God that I have become an ambassador for the Lord.
