I love this book! The author has a great sense of humor as she talks about growing up in Southern California. I laughed, cried, and was full of nostalgia after reading this. I found it so easy to relate to since I am a chicana myself and have gone through similar events (although in a different time and generation.) I recommend this book to all chican@s who want to appreciate their roots and heritage, as well as for anyone else who is interested in seeing what it feels like to live in two different cultures.
