Sanitized but still interesting memoir of an escort

When Dawn Annadale found herself on the verge of having her goods repossessed and being taken to court by her credit union for being in arrears for her house payments she found herself comptemplating the unthinkable -working as an "escort", aka prostitute in order to get the money she needed to keep her 6 kids at their schools and with a roof over their head. Re-named "Elizabeth" for her new career she worked her nights as a high class call girl and her days as the perfect mum for her children. He husband never realised what had changed in her life and didn't really seem to care as long as he didn't have to worry about the money. This is an easy to read book with good flow. In many cases the author is deliberately vague about her clients in order to protect their identities, though she's clear about the increasing complexity of the sexual high-jinks she got up to the longer she was in the job, don't get this book expecting to read a lot of graphic sex scenes. However it does illustrate the possible consequences if you let yourself get into too much debt while at the same time have a lot of home responsibilities.

Quick, non-taxing, pacy and well written

A quick, non-taxing, purportedly true story of a mother of six turned escort to support her family when faced with mounting debts. It's pacy and well written, but comes across as sanitised, wiped clean, not really reflecting the life of the main protagonist. She travels from innocence and naivety to an accomplished mask of professionalism while sustaining the ideal mother role. If she really did what she writes about, she has my respect, but the book certainly does not reflect this well.

Inspiring, motivating, a must for all those down on their luck

The author holds your attention from the very first page and it just gets better. From tears to joy and back again, a must read for anyone struggling with life. It all turns out well in the end. Great read Chris. Beesley-Reynolds.

This book really impressed me, the love and devotion this woman showed for her children too the point that she nearly lost everything too maintain her children and home. Despite the popular myth that all working girls are stupid or junkies, this story shows just how much a woman will sacrifice too save her children. The author deserves a medal for everything she suffered whilst working as a call girl. Despire all the trials and tribulations she kept her sanity and sense of humour, an excellent read !
