Dow 30 Corporation Total Electric's monopoly of the copper wire and electrical components market is threatened by a copper replacement, PVI. When PVI becomes readily available the price of copper will fall like a rock. The fortunes of Total Electric and those of Elvert Mudcook its President, CEO and Chairman of the Board will fall with like a rock. Elvert Mudcook could buy the rights PVI but his pride and that of Total Electric won't let him. After letting the situation get out of hand he called an emergency meeting of the board. "If it's electric Total Electric does it" was the way Elvert Mudcook President, CEO and chairman of the board of directors of Total Electric always began board meetings. That came after the opening prayer. Elvert was a pious man. He also always followed his "does it" tout with, "We don't compete with anyone. We destroy the competition." Then he got serious, "The reason I've called this emergency meeting is for us to allocate the resources needed to destroy a threat in the form of a would-be and without a doubt soon to be very formidable competitor."
