An alien armed with a gadget that keeps him in touch with the ELD on board his space ship allowing him to do what's perceived to be miracles does a walkabout on earth. Right off the bat he gets tangled up with the law for making illegal alcoholic beverages when he performs a miracle reenactment from the Bible, Jesus converting water to wine. In near nonstop action he goes from fugitive to near messiah as most folks want to believe he really performs miracles. The last straw for the establishment came when he endorsed opposition candidates and their stands on social issues. That lead to his final bad encounter with Earthians coming in the form of a senate investigation of his unusual religious practices in an effort to discredit him. As he walks out of the senate investigation without being dismissed he warns, "There's still time but little time left for the people of Earth to save themselves from the destruction which threatens them."
