It covers from Native Americans, the Spanish mission and American Republic with the Gold Rush of influx of people.It includes a good many pages on Native Americans with a time line progression. The discriminations against Chinese and other Asians was covered. However, the Chinese in building the Trans-continental Railroad with their blood and sweat made California golden state of fruit and vegetable helped California great. California was great in building warships in Kaiser shipyard. with a record of building one in three days by a team of women and minority California is America's own New World, a land of fortune and good luck. Enjoy this colorful and fun book and State. Leave your heart in this Golden State and San Francisco!
