It is a coffee size book in text and pictures on California history of place, people and dream. It covers from Native Americans, the Spanish mission and American Republic with the Gold Rush of influx of people.It includes a good many pages on Native Americans with a time line progression. The discriminations against Chinese and other Asians was covered. However, the Chinese in building the Trans-continental Railroad with their blood and sweat made California golden state of fruit and vegetable helped California great. California was great in building warships in Kaiser shipyard. with a record of building one in three days by a team of women and minority California is America's own New World, a land of fortune and good luck. Enjoy this colorful and fun book and State. Leave your heart in this Golden State and San Francisco!
