Is it really as bad as people make it out to be?

I honestly thought this was the best book in the series (It is by far my personal favorite). Most reviews on here tend to shoot it down as long, drawn-out, and boring. It really just depends on your reading interests. I thought that it was very cleverly written and had some great twists (Zombies with guns, that was great ^_^). Perry did an excellent job using the characters from the first RE game and she kept their personalities in tact, which is an amazing thing in itself. Even better, she didn't make Rebecca as sappy as she was in the game (Though the game wouldn't have been the same without her way-too enthusiastic cheerleader-type voice). I believe Perry did a great job writing this book and should be given credit for great writing. It's always better to read original works than rewritten works or works written based on something (Though her adaptations of the games were excellent). This book really does deserve 5 stars, and I suggest anyone who is a fan of the series read it.

Rebecca Chambers in the spotlight...

This was a great book that I found very enjoyable. We finally got to see a more mature side of Rebecca that was not painted in the first few Resident Evil series. This book was very creepy even as it also involved describing the process of becoming a Tri-squad, a variant of the zombie, when one of the stars is infected. What are you doing still reading this? Add this to your cart now!

Rebecca Chambers is Back in Action!

This book was fantastic! I was immediately enthralled the second I picked it up. If you're a fan of the Resident Evil games, you'll definitely like "Caliban Cove". It doesn't follow any particular storyline of the games, but the references and familiar characters from the games are very enjoyable. It's also very suspenseful. You won't be able to put it down until you finish it! Even if you've never played Resident Evil, but you like sci-fi horror/action, you should check this one out. If you don't...then you should probably skip it. That's my two cents.

Resident Evil:Caliban Cove,book review

Death, destruction, mayhem are many of teh events that occur in my book,"Reident Evil:Caliban Cove." I thoroughly enjoyed reading S.D. Perry's novel, its 242 pages were very suspenseful, and action filled."Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" takes place in Maryland on a shore-sided chemical facility that has been involved in many chemical related accidents and the S.T.A.R.S. (special tactics and rescue team) is sent in to investigate these accidents.Rebecca,Steve,David,Karen,Barry make up the S.T.A.R.S. team and Dr.Griffith, trisquads, are the chemical facilities main characters. The S.T.A.R.S. discover that Umbrella (teh chemical company) is using a virus, of some genetic means,to make bio-weapons of destruction. While investigating the S.T.A.R.S. encounter many of Umbrella's bio-weapons and they discover that the T-virus is what is producing these grotesque monsters. The T-virus however infects on of the S.T.A.R.S. members and the uninfected members of S.T.A.R.S. try to find a cure for the T-virus,while trying to stay alive and they uncover a hideous plot within the Umbrella company's employee, Dr.Griffith.1 "golden line" in "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" is when Barry says,"These monsters are the creation of a mad man that is just is just as hyness as his bio-weapons."The cover of "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" portrays Rebecca of the S.T.A.R.S. running while shooting at one of the the bio-weapons created by the T-virus.The title means that evil is a resident in Caliban Cove.I would reccomend this book to anyone who has played the video game in which this novel is based upon, anyone who enjoys the game will enjoy this book. If you are new person to the Resident Evil series you might find this novel hard to get, but it has a great plot and it is just what a person looking for a suspenseful horror novel, you will find that "Resident Evil:Caliban Cove" will satisfy any horror novel fan or Resident Evil fan.

A non-stop thrll ride

I regret I didn't read this book the day I got it. I let it sit for a few weeks and when I fnally picked it up and began to read, I was totally blown away by it. It opens up with some espionage action, then an all out fire fight. Rebecca even killed someone! Even the trip to Caliban Cove was interesting, with a new enemy waiting for them. I'm trying not to spoil it too much. And Karen, John, Steve, all new characters, all marvelously well done. Unfortunately, it would be a good idea not to get too attached to these characters, the end is quite a surprise.
