The author created this photo book after being inspired by a slower pace of life brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020-2023. Walking daily with his beloved wife around the city of Calabasas-their home since 1986-he became conscious of the smallest petals and the tallest redwoods, feeling an especially strong bond with the Calabasas Lake, which he dubs his "Walden Pond." The photographs themselves are bright and vivid, often so vivid as to be almost surreal; a reflection, maybe, of the larger-than-life celebrities who call Calabasas home. The author adds snippets of poetry and imagistic prose to highlight his experiences of walking the city he loves.
