Caged By Words is my way of showing women that have not experienced any form of domestic violence that the verbal, emotional and mental abuse is just as destructive as a fist or open hand slap to the face. It has taken me years to overcome the shame and guilt of what I endured. It is my hope that the words of my memoir will ring true to those that are now living through what I have survived and a warning for those who have yet to experience the form of domestic violence that the scars may never heal.
