A great author

Alice Vieira is one of the greatest authors of children's books in the world. It doesn't help her very much that she's Portuguese, because that way she doesn't get much publicity. But it speaks volumes for her talent that, even so, she's managed to win prize after prize for children's literature.Some of the most beautiful and moving moments of my life while reading have come through her books. She has taught me much, like an old, dear aunt. She's part of my life, and every person (child or adult) should have the joy of reading at least one of her books.They are about real people living real situations (something I was never very partial to, I'm more a Never Ending Story sort of reader); but even so she manages to get me interested, through the sheer talent and wizardry of her writing.Meet a good person and a genius.
