A Fun Read!!!!!

This book was a very great read! Maxine Trotter is a very talented author and knows how to capture a reader's interests at the very beginning. From the start, tomboy Mack and her cousin Jamie are in trouble, all the way up to their neck! They started in the morning going to a small strip of land near the ship they are on, and by the afternoon, they are kidnapped! The only future they can look to now is a dreary army life for Jamie and...who knows what for Mack. The innocent little trip is to change their lives forever. It is a journey neither Mack nor Jamie wants, but once it is thrust on them, there is no turning back. Keeping a brave heart, Mack struggles to find a way back to the safety of their home and keep out of the clutches of Ben Sparks (their kidnapper) who, even though he loses them once, is determined to regain his prize.
