"Oh, Dad! We've heard that one a million times!" Finally, my life stories are on paper. Transcribed exactly as I dictated everything to my daughter over the course of five years, this is the story of my life from my birth in 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to immigrant Swiss parents, through the year 2012. I'm still going strong, still building, and, as some will tell you, I'm still trying to tell my stories (Oh, Dad! We've read that story already. It's in your book!). A few things happened to me on the way to age 90: I survived the Great Depression, leaped onto bar room tables to lead War protest rallies, piloted a B-17 in World War II, risked life and limb as a crop duster throughout the South, and built homes all over the West: New Mexico, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington, and a whole lot more. And, of course, I found my sweetheart, Marilyn, to whom I've been married 63 years and counting. Together, we raised our four wonderful kids. I have indeed been blessed! We of the Greatest Generation are a dying breed. Soon they'll be no one left to tell the tales, so I trust you'll find this book interesting, inspiring, at times humorous, and maybe even a little nostalgic.
