Through persecution, disappointment, and trials on every hand, I'm convinced that I'm chosen by God for a designated purpose. He created me for a definite assignment. I look back at all God has done for me and I know that he is the reason that I am still here. My attitude of gratitude puts every situation and every circumstance in its proper perspective. I've had to look above and beyond my own capabilities to meet the challenges in my life. I have relied on God to guide my steps. I have remained focused and have not lost sight of the promises he has for me. This book of many trials provides an excellent illustration of my walk with God. I am confident that he has not allowed my flame to go while I reside in the midst of darkness and confusion. God has enabled me to restore and rekindle something that will give him the glory he deserves. For at my lowest points in life, God has always been my strength and he has carried me triumphantly through each and every trial. I have learned that, "True faith never says, 'I cannot, ' but says, 'I can, with God's help."
