Buttercup Jill

By Peggy Grayson

This work recounts the youthful experiences of the author in the wartime Women's Land Army in the 1940s, following her progress from mucker-outer to nearly fully-fledged farmer. Incorrigible characters like Uncle Henry, witch-like Miss Vyner and Duchess the unpredictable carthorse are all described.
