We did know Chad & his family, so the book was personal. While reading,he became present again. There was fun in recalling his life, and sadness again at the loss of him. But there was also thought provoking material. It can inspire anyone who has lost a loved one, even without knowing Chad.

Anyone that knows Glenda and her husband, and knew Chad, knows that these are very unique people. I know that because I know them. They have been a part of my life since I was born to my parents who were their best friends. Glenda is a beautiful person who passed down all her beautiful traits to her marvelous son. I am thankful to have known Chad and to know the Pearson's. This book touched me deep within my heart and soul and I pray it will touch the hearts of all those who need this inspirational story to uplift them and to give hope to a lost and hurting soul. God bless all who read this book and know your not alone... This book proves just that.

The meditations and poems gives the reader something to connect with, and reflect upon in the book. The reader can tell that the book is sincere and wrote from the heart. A Valuable Addition to the Genre

We are familiar with books by parents who have lost a child and whose authorship represents a working through of their grief. It is impossible not to feel compassion for such writers and their books. BUT SHOULD THE ANGELS CALL FOR HIM is no exception. Pearson's book is unique, however, in that she gets through the narrative pertaining to her pain evenly and adroitly. This is not a story of protracted illness. The Pearsons' son (an only child) was killed in a traumatic accident while on a college trip in London. While the narrative of the tragedy itself is emotionally upheaving, Pearson doesn't dwell on it and instead quickly places the emphasis on process and outcome: stages, events, feelings, doubts and peculiarities. For example there is a fascinating section on dealing with well-meaning loved ones who offer the worse possible advice. This book is completely free from the maudlin, and Pearson pulls no punches on such things as ambivalence, confusion, and fear of going off the deep end. The final section is undoubtedly the most rewarding, because it lays out a concise, systematic program for dealing with grief, not just over a child but in general. What is offered here is not a rigid formula to follow. It is more a list of options and alternatives from which the reader may select the most personally fitting. In this respect, BUT SHOULD THE ANGELS CALL FOR HIM is a positive self-help book on grief--and a rare and valuable addition to the genre. Wyn Craig Wade Author: THE TITANIC: END OF A DREAM.
