Our Lord used the phrase, But I say unto you, six times in the Sermon on the Mount. The meaning of this phrase as he used it in Matthew 5 is the subject of disagreement among many sincere Christians.... This description may be from another edition of this product.
God's ways are higher (and deeper) than our ways (Isa. 55:8-9)(Romans 11:33). SOME of God's Word is (purposely) hard to be understood and we are NOT to twist it to make Him say what we want Him to say (II Peter 3:16). The Lord Jesus Christ said that some things are mysteries and are veiled from the eyes of unbelievers (Matt. 13:10-17). Our Creator God wants believers to comprehend His 4th dimensional truth (breadth, length, depth, height -- Eph. 3:18) and NOT to bring Him before the (3-dimensional) bar of human reason. YET God's Word contains some simple truths which we are to accept by faith -- like a little child (Matt. 18:1-5). The author of this book has found this Biblical balance in his unusually perceptive work, taken from our Lord Jesus Christ's important Sermon On The Mount (Matt. 5-7). For the moment, cast aside all your preconceived "systematic theologies" of the 3rd dimension and ask the Holy Spirit if Reisinger's understanding is not true....
At last!

This book is amazing! At last someone has written seriously clarifying the relationship between the two covenants according to actual New Testament teaching instead of arguing from some arbitrary theological starting-point. I wish I could give it 6 stars - or even more!
