Before moving in with her grandparents, fifteen year old Sarah was always stuck babysitting her little brother. Now that she is free from that, her grandparents give her a little more freedom to be with her friends. One night Sarah goes to a friend's birthday party and meets eighteen year old John Sawyer. After badgering her over and over, Sarah gives in and agrees to go on a movie date with him.
